Frequently asked questions
Do players need to download an app?
No. Players scan the QR code on the big screen or type the six-character Game ID into their phone's browser. There is no app and no account.
Can I play on my own?
Yes. Choose "Play solo" and you play as a one-person team. You can also create a team or ask to join one; the team captain approves new members or turns on Auto Accept.
Who submits the answers?
Each team's captain submits the team's one bluff and locks the team's vote, so nobody can overwrite them. Captains can hand the role to a teammate, and the host can reassign it if a captain leaves.
What if our bluff is actually the right answer?
The game quietly refuses it and asks for a different bluff. It never tells anyone else what you tried.
Can we vote for our own bluff?
No. Your own bluff is shown but can't be chosen, even when another team wrote the same thing and the answers were merged.
How does scoring work?
By default, spotting the truth earns 1,000 points and every other team that falls for your bluff earns you 500. If two teams write the same bluff, they share its points. Hosts can change these values before the game starts.
What happens if my phone disconnects?
Open the game again in the same browser. Your team, your bluff and your vote are all kept on the server, and the page catches up to wherever the game is.
Where do the facts come from?
Every question carries a source. The explanation and the source appear on the big screen when the truth is revealed.
Is the language kept clean?
A profanity filter is on by default for everything shown on phones and the big screen, and the host can reject any bluff before voting.
