How to play
Bar Bluff rewards two skills: spotting the truth, and lying convincingly.
1. Join
Scan the QR code on the big screen or go to the site and enter the six-character Game ID. Pick a display name. No app or account needed.
2. Team up
Create a team, ask to join one (its captain approves you, or has Auto Accept on), or play solo as a one-person team.
3. Bluff
A strange-but-true fact appears with the answer missing. Talk it over, then your captain submits one fake answer that sounds real. If your bluff happens to be the real answer, you'll be asked for a different one.
4. Vote
The truth is shuffled in with every team's bluff, plus the odd house decoy. Your captain locks in the answer your team believes. You can't vote for your own bluff.
5. Reveal
The big screen shows the truth, the explanation and its source, who wrote each bluff, and who fell for it.
Scoring
- 1,000 points for voting for the truth.
- 500 points for every other team that votes for your bluff.
- Two teams with the same bluff share its points evenly.
- No points for a missing bluff or vote, and no speed bonus.
These are the default values. The host can change them before the first question.
